Let us be the first to say Vanakkam! (“Welcome” in Tamil).

Welcome to Chennai

Chennai is a city that captures the Tamil spirit of South India.  Chennai is appropriately known as the ‘Gateway to the South’, and not just as a travel base, but also for being the cultural hub of Tamil Nadu.  Formerly known as Madras, Chennai has changed over it’s relatively short history – from its humble beginnings as a British colony established by the East India Company to the vast metropolis it is today in the 21st Century.
